To apply for the scholarship, complete the following form and submit electronically by 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Scholarship winners will be notified by Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Scholarship funds will be used for tuition and fees and will be paid directly to the university or college on behalf of the scholarship recipient. The decisions of the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation selection committee are final
Eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Must be enrolled in or scheduled to enter an accredited college, university or trade school as an undergraduate.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of twelve credit hours. Must show proof of residency in the State of Colorado and have been a resident for a minimum of twelve months prior to application. (This rule applies to first time recipients only. If a student receives the scholarship again, proof of residency is no longer required.)
- Have achieved a minimum G.P.A. of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in high school and/or in the previous twelve months as an undergraduate. (Will need to produce a copy of high school, college or trade school transcript. Unofficial copies are okay.)
- Submit a typed essay of 1,000 words or less covering the following points:
- What are your educational goals and career aspirations? Why did you choose your academic program or field of study and how is continued education helping you achieve your goals?
- From a financial standpoint, what impact would receiving a scholarship have on your education? Please share how you are financing your college education and any special personal or family circumstances affecting your need for financial assistance.
- Tell us about who you are outside of the classroom. This might include leadership opportunities, community engagement, family responsibilities, activities and interests, challenges you have overcome, or any other personal interests you would like to share with us.
